Snowshill Manor and Garden

The Cotswolds is one of my favourite places in the whole world, there's just something about the honey coloured cottages and rolling green hills that makes my soul happy. On Saturday I headed to somewhere that's been on my list to visit for a while - Snowshill Manor and Garden. Looking at the manor's classic Cotswold exterior you would never guess the treasures that lie inside but it's packed to the rafters with an eclectic collection of everything from scary looking Samurai armour to lovely old grandfather clocks to tiny dolls houses, collected by Charles Wade over his lifetime, it really is  a fascinating place to have a wander around.

Charles Wade's motto of "let nothing perish" is also evident in the beautiful terraced gardens where more curiosities can be found among borders filled with wild flowers and quiet corners waiting to be discovered.  One day I'll have a garden like this - one day!

If you're in the area I would absolutely recommend a visit to this place, it's a bit of a hidden gem.
